Its an ancient temple having lord ayyapa as its deity, ...history has it that once a person wanted to cut some bamboos and for that he sharpened his knife on a stone ....all of a sudden blood started to come on the stone and person seeing the blood on stone, he ran for his life who died after running long distance .....and that stone from which blood came is now deity and is considered as lord ayyapa...
